第二季结尾 ，蒂娜终于对贝蒂说出了大家期待已久的话。可在本季故事中，贝蒂与蒂娜的分歧加深，尤其在抚养小安的教育问题上更是争吵不断。贝蒂的姐姐凯特（帕姆·格里尔 Pam Grier饰）和小安的男保姆擦出火花。爱丽丝对德纳与莱拉（劳伦·李·史密斯 Lauren Lee Smith饰）的复合伤心不已 ，却仍对她念念不忘 。不幸降临在了德纳的身上——被检测出患乳癌，最终抢救无效，因病去世 。詹妮与马克斯（丹尼艾拉·席 Daniela Sea饰）相爱。可马克斯却注射了雄性荷尔蒙 ，并且不满詹妮在别人面前提到她变性。夏恩与卡门正处在热恋中，她还得到了卡门母亲的喜爱。卡门终于同意了夏恩的求婚，可夏恩却在婚礼上逃婚了……
